Ancient X-Ray Machine Revived

We are not still at the place where we can have real time X-ray video like i "Total Recall"but that does not mean X-ray technology has not come a long way in the last 116 years. researches in the Maastricht  town in Holland have fired up an X-ray machine from 1895 and compared it with the modern machine.

As we see in the photos to the right side, they have become sharper. The original device was built by a local educator and doctor just weeks after the first "how to" on X-ray machines was published. It was found in a ware house and then dusted by researchers from Maastricht university medical center who wanted to show it. Originally the old machine produced and built in the Dutch town, and the team didn't just turn it on, they replicated as closely as possible the conditions that would have been available and that can be used by the doctors of that time.

Modern X-ray machine having better looking images when compared to the old machine. According to the BBC, but also the fact they use 1500 times less radiation, making them safer and cheaper. The machine was not just fire up for fun, but for science, by doctors who chronicle their finding in the   "Journal Radiology".
