At last the humans are successful in launching Robo waiters. Now the robots are entertaining china people. The people are attracted towards the "Dalu Robot Restaurant", not for the hot pot meals, but for the talking machines. This restaurant is very famous because of its robots which work hours without getting tired.
The Dalu Robot restaurant is located in Jinan, in Northern Shandong province. It is recognized as the first restaurant with robots. This restaurant has more than a dozen robots which serve the people better than the humans do. These robots go round the restaurant performing several jobs. They act as entertainers, servers, greeters & receptionists. Also there is a female robot attracting people with its beautiful eyelashes. It invites people with an electronic welcome.
The robots are never tired. They can never be short tempered or impatient as humans do. One visitor of the restaurant, Lixiaomei, 35 said " They have better service attitude than humans".
These robots have some motion sensors. They tell them when to stop and when to move. For example, the motion sensors tells the robot to stop when there is some one in its path. During the meal crowds of up-to hundreds are entertained by dancing & talking robots that looks like Mannequin with a dress.
Zhang said, he hopes to roll out 30 robots which cost $6,000 each. He wants to develop the robots with human like qualities that serve the customers at their table and walk up and down stairs.
